Job Title: Field Application Engineer, China (Shenzhen or Guangzhou)

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager – GCHINA

Job Purpose
Field Application Engineer (FAE) who applies in-depth product knowledge of LUCID Vision’s camera technologies to support sales activities at a technical and application level. The FAE will work closely with our customers to resolve technical issues, as well as interact with our sales team members to support successful sales outcomes. The FAE will be based in Shenzhen or Guangzhou. Customers are served by phone and video, in exceptional cases travel to the customer may be necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide deep technical expertise for diverse applications such as factory automation, inspection, robotics, 3D, scientific, medical etc.

· Provide deep technical support and training to customers in their selection and use of LUCID Vision cameras to ensure a successful integration of the camera into their system.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance that focuses on design win strategies for key customer opportunities.

· Participate in the discussions of customer-customized solutions and the development of internal test software related to the solutions.

· Collaborate with LUCID Vision engineers and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer’s project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers.

· Create presentations and demonstration material to help showcase LUCID Vision’s products, tools, and methodologies that align with customer needs.

· Provide regular feedback to LUCID Vision’s management team and factory experts regarding customer requirements.

Qualifications/Education/Skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentations skills and the ability to work with multiple groups

· Willingness to learn, research and engage in areas that the applicant is not familiar with

· Analytical skills to determine business prioritization and timelines with limited resources

· BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent

· Min +5 years of industry experience ideally with imaging, cameras, image sensors, and technical support (machine vision knowledge is a plus)

· In-depth knowledge of vision software tools for cameras designs – i.e VisionPro, Matlab, Halcon, Matrox, National Instrument, Pleora, etc.

· C, C++, C# programming skills and with Visual Studio debugging technique (OpenCV and/or Python experience is a plus)

· In-depth knowledge of Linux development environment

· Fluent English, Mandarin and any other language welcome

· 与 LUCID 总部的管理团队和工厂专家定期交流，就客户需求提供反馈

技术资格及教育要求

· 出色的人际交往能力、出色的演讲能力以及与多个团队合作的能力。

· 愿意学习、研究并涉足申请人不熟悉的领域。· 具备分析能力，能够根据有限的资源确定业务优先事项和时间表。

· 电气工程、计算机科学或相关专业的学士或硕士学位。

· 至少 5 年的行业经验，最好有图像、相机、图像传感器和技术支持方面的经验（机器视觉知识者优先）。

· 对相机设计的视觉软件工具有深入的了解，例如 VisionPro、Matlab、Halcon、Matrox、National Instrument、Pleora 等。

· 具备 C、C++、C# 编程技能，并熟悉 Visual Studio 调试技术（OpenCV 和/或 Python 经验者优先。

· 对 Linux 开发环境有深入的了解。

· 英语流利，普通话熟练，其他语言也欢迎（但并非必须）。
